Power Walking is a low impact aerobic exercise class in the beautiful Somerset countryside.
Each session lasts 1hr and consists of a fast tempo power walk using light hand weights, covering approximately 3miles (5k) including exercises stops for additional body toning exercises. This class guarantees a total body workout for both cardio and strength. Beware, this is no walk in the park!
Most power walkers really notice that they have worked their thighs and glutes (bottom) after just one session and are aware their fitness levels increasing after just a few weeks of attending the class. Being outdoors participants get the benefit of the fresh air as well as being able to socialise throughout the hour.
Come to one or both of the weekly sessions depending on your free time. It's a fantastic way to see the local countryside, meet new people, and of course .. exercise!
Classes run every week on Tuesdays and Fridays (during term time) at Beckington Village Hall car park, Beckington at 9.30am
